Our credit history has become a crucial part of our financial lives. People are constantly trying to find ways to raise their credit score so that they can get approved for loans and get the best interest rates. With more and more financial activities taking place online, the need to safeguard our personal and financial information is also at an all time high. We talked briefly before about the need to have a credit monitoring solution to help you stay on top of your finances and protect your identity. Well, I decide to follow my own advice and get set up with the TrueCredit 3 in 1 monitoring product. I’ve only had it for about a week, but I decided to write a review so that you can get some additional information before you decide for yourself.
The TrueCredit 3 in 1 monitoring solution allows you unlimited access to all 3 of your credit reports and scores including email alerts when any changes happen on any of your credit reports. You can update your credit reports and scores daily if you want, so it provides an extremely up to date look at your credit situation at a moments notice. Here’s a look at some of the features.
Change Checker
Right when you log in, there’s the Change Checker that shows you if there are any recent changes to your reports. It’s a nice way to see an immediate status on what’s going on with your credit.
Your Recent Alerts and Credit Scores
Along with the Change Checker, the dashboard pages shows your recent credit alerts and most recent credit scores. They help to make a nice comprehensive first look at what’s going on with your reports.
Unlimited access to credit reports and scores
Like we mentioned above, you have 24 hour access to your credit report and scores. You can update them daily, although it took me a while to figure out where the update link was. The reports are thorough with payment histories and account details. They also provide report analysis to help explain what factors are effecting your scores and how you can improve them.
Trending
There is a trending screen which shows a simple graph on how your credit items are changing over time. There are charts on credit scores, total debt, available credit, debt-to-income, etc. It seems to be that the credit score trending only includes your TransUnion credit score, as it’s not broken out into 3 separate lines. It would be a lot cooler if it was able to consolidate all of them into one view.
These features make up a great start to the TrueCredit 3 in 1 solution, that so far I’ve been very impressed with. We will go through some of the other features and the conclusion in the second part of this review tomorrow.
